For selected patients, family members may be invited to spend additional time with their pet during hospitalization, including overnight, when medically appropriate. Familiar voices, scents, and companionship can help reduce stress and provide comfort during recovery.

For pets requiring prolonged hospitalization, a dedicated family resting area is available. This space allows family members to remain close to their pet during difficult or extended treatment periods.

Whenever patient stability and hospital operations allow, scheduled visitation opportunities may be available. These visits help maintain the bond between pets and their families while allowing our team to continue providing uninterrupted medical care.

We believe informed families make better decisions. Our team provides regular updates regarding diagnostic findings, treatment plans, progress, prognosis, and expected costs throughout hospitalization.

Your family veterinarian remains an essential member of your pet’s healthcare team. Throughout your pet’s hospitalization, our doctors may communicate directly with your veterinarian to discuss diagnostic findings, treatment options, and ongoing medical management. By combining the knowledge of your primary veterinarian with the resources of our specialty and emergency team, we can work together to develop the most appropriate care plan for your pet.

We provide timely medical updates, detailed discharge summaries, and recommendations to support a smooth transition back to your veterinarian for continued care whenever appropriate.

Discharge planning begins before your pet leaves the hospital. We provide detailed instructions, medication guidance, follow-up recommendations, and communication with your family veterinarian to support a smooth recovery at home.
