Dr. Amin Nozari is the Co-founder and medical director of Dr. Vetamin Primary, Referral & Emergency Veterinary Hospital in Ottawa–Gatineau. His career bridges advanced clinical medicine, research, and hospital leadership, reflecting a commitment to bringing comprehensive and progressive veterinary care to the community.
After earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, Dr. Nozari completed a PhD in Biology with a concentration in Molecular Toxicology, where his research focused on mechanisms of toxin-induced cellular injury. He later pursued extensive post-graduate clinical training in emergency and critical care, internal medicine, and advanced surgical procedures, including gastrointestinal, biliary, and orthopedic interventions such as TPLO and FHO.
Since 2020, Dr. Nozari has served in emergency and referral practice settings in Ottawa, managing a wide range of medical and surgical cases. He continues to advance his professional credentials through ongoing education and examination processes, and is set to complete the examination requirements for the American Board of Veterinary Toxicology (ABVT) in June 2026.
Under his direction, Dr. Vetamin has developed into a hospital equipped for advanced imaging, endoscopy, and minimally invasive procedures, providing both primary and referral services in a collaborative, team-based environment. Dr. Nozari also leads educational initiatives such as Vetamin TV, a public education project that helps pet owners better understand veterinary medicine, and he frequently presents continuing education lectures to veterinary professionals on toxicology and practice management

As the long-time owner and medical director of Britannia Heights Veterinary Clinic in Ottawa, where he has served the community for nearly a decade, Dr. Torabi has built a reputation for compassionate, detail-oriented, and high-quality care. His approach blends sound medical reasoning with practical experience, making him a trusted clinician among both clients and peers.
Dr. Torabi has pursued advanced training in small animal dentistry and oral surgery, allowing him to perform a wide range of dental and soft-tissue surgical procedures. His work encompasses everything from routine preventive care to the management of complex medical and surgical cases in dogs and cats.
At Dr. Vetamin, Dr. Torabi practices part-time, contributing his depth of experience in soft-tissue surgery, dentistry, and overall case management.
