Dr. Amin Nozari (DVM, PhD)
Dr. Amin Nozari is the Co-founder and medical director of Dr. Vetamin Primary, Referral & Emergency Veterinary Hospital in Ottawa–Gatineau. His career bridges advanced clinical medicine, research, and hospital leadership, reflecting a commitment to bringing comprehensive and progressive veterinary care to the community.
After earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, Dr. Nozari completed a PhD in Biology with a concentration in Molecular Toxicology, where his research focused on mechanisms of toxin-induced cellular injury. He later pursued extensive post-graduate clinical training in emergency and critical care, internal medicine, and advanced surgical procedures, including gastrointestinal, biliary, and orthopedic interventions such as TPLO and FHO.
Since 2020, Dr. Nozari has served in emergency and referral practice settings in Ottawa, managing a wide range of medical and surgical cases. He continues to advance his professional credentials through ongoing education and examination processes, and is set to complete the examination requirements for the American Board of Veterinary Toxicology (ABVT) in June 2026. Also, he is preparing to take the board exam of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP- Canine and Feline), in November 2026.
Under his direction, Dr. Vetamin has developed into a hospital equipped for advanced imaging, endoscopy, and minimally invasive procedures, providing both primary and referral services in a collaborative, team-based environment. Dr. Nozari also leads educational initiatives such as Vetamin TV, a public education project that helps pet owners better understand veterinary medicine, and he frequently presents continuing education lectures to veterinary professionals on toxicology and practice management

Dr. Alex Torabi is a co-founder of Dr. Vetamin Primary, Referral & Emergency Veterinary Hospital and brings over 20 years of clinical experience in small animal medicine and surgery to the team.
As the long-time owner and medical director of Britannia Heights Veterinary Clinic in Ottawa, where he has served the community for nearly a decade, Dr. Torabi has built a reputation for compassionate, detail-oriented, and high-quality care. His approach blends sound medical reasoning with practical experience, making him a trusted clinician among both clients and peers.
Dr. Torabi has pursued advanced training in small animal dentistry and oral surgery, allowing him to perform a wide range of dental and soft-tissue surgical procedures. His work encompasses everything from routine preventive care to the management of complex medical and surgical cases in dogs and cats.
At Dr. Vetamin, Dr. Torabi practices part-time, contributing his depth of experience in soft-tissue surgery, dentistry, and overall case management. His steady presence, surgical skill, and decades of hands-on experience play a key role in supporting the hospital’s mission of providing thorough, science-based veterinary care.

Sarah is one of our highly experienced Registered Veterinary Technicians at Dr. Vetamin Primary, Referral & Emergency Veterinary Hospital, where she provides exceptional care for our overnight and hospitalized patients. With over 10 years of experience in several emergency and specialty hospitals across Ottawa, Sarah brings a wealth of clinical knowledge and technical skill to every case she manages.
An accomplished anesthesia technician, Sarah is known for her precision, steady judgment, and ability to maintain patient stability during complex procedures. Her colleagues value her as both dependable and deeply knowledgeable, making her a trusted member of our medical team.

Robin is one of the Registered Veterinary Technicians at Dr. Vetamin Primary, Referral & Emergency Veterinary Hospital, bringing a solid foundation in small animal care and anesthesia from her experience in general practice. With two years of hands-on clinical experience, she joined the Dr. Vetamin team to expand her skills in emergency and critical care medicine.
Knowledgeable and detail-oriented, Robin demonstrates strong technical ability in veterinary anesthesia and routine care, ensuring patient comfort and safety in every procedure she assists with. Her independence, enthusiasm, and eagerness to learn make her a valued member of our growing clinical team.

Sajjad is a trained veterinarian from Iran who is currently completing the Canadian accreditation process to practice as a licensed veterinarian in Canada. With extensive experience in large animal medicine, he brings a strong foundation in clinical reasoning, patient handling, and medical care to his role at Dr. Vetamin Primary, Referral & Emergency Veterinary Hospital.
Since joining the Dr. Vetamin team, Sajjad has been expanding his skills in small animal medicine and hospital operations, actively assisting in diagnostics, treatments, and patient care. Known for his reliability, professionalism, and teamwork, he is always ready to lend a hand wherever and whenever needed.

Brittney is one of our dedicated Logistics Coordinators at Dr. Vetamin Primary, Referral & Emergency Veterinary Hospital. Our logistics coordinators manage the entire client-facing side of hospital operations, ensuring seamless communication and organization across the team.
From scheduling appointments and managing medication refills to coordinating with referring veterinarians and keeping staff up to date on hospitalized and discharged patients, Brittney plays a vital role in keeping the hospital running smoothly. She also manages the hospital’s extensive administrative workload and supports both our clients and medical team every day with efficiency and care.
A part of the Dr. Vetamin journey since nearly the beginning, Brittney is known for her positivity, professionalism, and genuine warmth. She’s the friendly face who greets you and your pet at the door and the calm, reassuring voice on the phone.
